The Sports Medicine Department of The Second Norman Bethune Hospital of Jilin University is the only arthroscopy training base in Jilin Province established by Smith & Nephew and Stryker Corporation of the United States, and it is also the site of the China-Korea International Arthroscopy Training Center. The department boasts strong technical capabilities in sports medicine and arthroscopy, equipped with four sets of the most advanced imported arthroscopic surgical systems from the United States. The annual number of surgeries exceeds 800 cases. It was the first in our province to perform arthroscopic surgeries on the shoulder, elbow, hip, and ankle joints, with extensive experience in minimally invasive arthroscopic treatments for conditions such as multi-ligament ruptures of the knee, meniscal tears, intra-articular fractures, rotator cuff tears, recurrent shoulder and patellar dislocations, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, impingement syndromes of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle joints, popliteal cysts, gluteal muscle contracture and snapping hip, and congenital muscular torticollis.
