The Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of the Orthopedic Medical Center at The Second Norman Bethune Hospital of Jilin University is the first of its kind in Jilin Province. It primarily diagnoses and treats lower limb deformities, pain, trauma, and functional disorders related to the foot and ankle. The conditions treated include: foot and ankle deformities and pain; foot and ankle trauma and sports injuries; tendon injuries of the foot and ankle; hallux deformities and pain; flatfoot; cavovarus foot; toe deformities; calcaneal fractures and complications; diabetic foot ulcers; foot and ankle tumors; stem cell therapy, among others. The department adheres to the principle of personalized treatment, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific conditions and needs of each patient. The team consists of one emeritus professor, one professor, two attending physicians, and two resident physicians. In terms of academic qualifications, there is one postdoctoral fellow, one postdoctoral candidate, one doctoral degree holder, and one doctoral candidate. Among them, three are overseas-returnee doctors, recognized as special talents introduced by Jilin University.
