To advance the in-depth implementation of the "Belt and Road" Initiative in the field of healthcare, further strengthen the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and international academic exchanges, the Northeast Asia International Joint Laboratory for Active Response to Aging and Bionic Health successfully held a symposium on clinical research and translation on October 10. The event特邀 featured academic presentations by USTIUGOV ANDREI, Director of the Cell Laboratory at the Russian Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology, and VETRILE MARCHEL, Deputy Director of the "Priorov National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics" under the Russian Ministry of Health. Attendees included Professor Qin Yanguo, Director of the laboratory; Qu Wenrui, Head of the Scientific Research Department; Sun Pingli, Director of the Clinical Research Department; SVINARENKO VLADIMIR, General Manager of the Novosibirsk Technology Park at the Russian Nanocenter; and representatives from the Northeast Asia Talent Innovation and Cooperation Center, among other relevant departments. The meeting was chaired by Qu Wenrui.
Professor Qin Yanguo extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the visiting experts and expressed high hopes for in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of life sciences research. He pointed out that the professional expertise of the Russian Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology highly aligns with the key disciplines of our hospital, particularly in dermatology. As a traditionally strong discipline, the dermatology department at our hospital holds a leading position in the province and even across Northeast China. The big data platform for skin oncology, led by Professor Yao Chunli from the dermatology department, has not only demonstrated significant potential in clinical diagnosis and treatment but has also opened up new avenues for collaboration in dermatological treatment and scientific research between the two institutions. The future cooperation in this field promises broad prospects.
Professor Qin noted that the Orthopedics Center at our hospital has also achieved remarkable accomplishments in clinical practice, scientific research, and education and training. As another major strength of our institution, the Orthopedics Center has earned a high reputation both domestically and internationally, laying a solid foundation for collaboration with the Russian N.N. Priorov National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics. It is hoped that through in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the field of orthopedics, the translation of scientific research成果 into practical applications can be further advanced, providing more innovative solutions for the clinical treatment of orthopedic diseases.
Professor Qin expressed his hope that, leveraging the momentum of Sino-Russian friendly relations, aligning with national policy directions, and with the support of the Northeast Asia Talent Innovation and Cooperation Center, our hospital can closely collaborate with top Russian medical institutions. By working together in their respective areas of expertise, both sides can promote the transformation and widespread application of scientific and technological achievements, jointly forging a more brilliant future.
Qu Wenrui provided a comprehensive overview of the hospital's overall situation.
USTIUGOV ANDREI delivered an academic report titled "Application of Biotechnology in Dermatology," providing a detailed introduction to the latest advancements in the use of biotechnology for dermatological treatments.
VETRILE MARCHEL delivered a presentation introducing the N.N. Priorov National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics.
During the meeting, participants discussed the potential and challenges of biotechnology in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dermatological diseases, sharing their research findings and clinical experiences. The session was marked by a lively atmosphere and a fruitful exchange of insights.
During the meeting, our hospital formally signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Russian Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology.
Additionally, an appointment ceremony was held during the meeting, in which USTIUGOV ANDREI was appointed as a visiting professor of the International Joint Laboratory for Active Response to Aging and Bionic Health.
The successful convening of the conference has further strengthened the close medical collaboration between China and Russia, marking a solid step forward for our hospital on the broad stage of international cooperation and technological innovation. Against the backdrop of increasingly close Sino-Russian relations and driven by the policy impetus for the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China, our hospital is committed to continuously enhancing international cooperation. We are confident that this will lead to leapfrog development in key areas such as the health industry and technological innovation, thereby making active contributions to regional economic prosperity and the well-being of the people.
