Zheng Yajuan，Female，chief physician, professor, doctor of medicine, ophthalmology specialized supervisor of PhD，the head of Glaucoma department, second hospital of Jilin University. In the year of 1999, I was admitted by the School of Medicine of Akita University in Japan, and got my Ph.D. Degree in 2003. In 2006, I went to the Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University for further education. After coming back, I actively carried out new technologies and therapies and won several Medical Achievements Rewards of Jilin University.

　　Her professional direction is the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. In recent years, I carried out early diagnostic examinations of various kinds of glaucoma, and also systematically investigated, tracked and gave medical treatment to suspected glaucoma patients. The complete clinic medical records and normalized follow-up system were established. The digitization of storage of the patients’ data, programmed management of computer and development of image processing software are in progress. These are of great importance to early diagnosis of glaucoma. Furthermore, I have carried out combined trabeculectomy with adjustable sutures and anti-metabolic drug, drainage implantation of anterior chamber, trabeculotomy, trabeculectomy combined phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, goniosynechialysis combined phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, anti-VEGF intravitreal injection combined with anti-glaucoma surgery for neovascular glaucoma treatments, ciliary photocoagulation and other laser treatments. For different types of glaucoma, different surgery treatments were adopted, which could greatly improve the success rate of surgery, reduce surgical complications and also protect and improve the remaining visual function of the patients.

Actively carrying out scientific research and undertaking various provincial, I have already published more than 80 research papers, including 22 SCI papers. The impact factors amount to about 60. I have presided over three projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China and several projects from Ministry of Education, Ministry of Personnel, Jilin Province and Jilin University et al. The total research funding in my lab are more than one million yuan. At present, our team is working on the further exploration of glaucoma pathogenesis. So far, 13 students have already graduated from my lab, including nine Ph.D. students and four M.S. students. There are still five Ph.D. candidates and three M.S. candidates in my lab now.
